Privacy policy

Plates In A Day, by North Arc Collective. Effective 12 September 2026.

The short version: there is no account, there are no ads, there is no analytics or tracking of any kind, and North Arc Collective runs no servers that receive your data. Everything the app saves is either on your device or in your own iCloud.

What the app stores, and where

WhatWhere it livesWho can see it
Plates found each day, streaks, achievements, all-time historyA file on your deviceYou
Today's found plates, per regionYour own iCloud key-value storageYou, on your own devices
Where you spotted a plate, if location is onWith that day's history, on your device and in your iCloudYou

That is the complete list. Because iCloud storage belongs to your Apple Account rather than to us, it is covered by Apple's privacy policy. We cannot read it, and we have no way to.

Location

Location is optional and off until you turn it on. When it is on, the app reads your position only while you are using it, and only to record where a plate was spotted so your history has a map. Those coordinates stay in your own history. They are never sent to us, never sold, and never used for advertising. Turning location off in iOS Settings stops it immediately and leaves earlier pins in place.

What is never collected

The app makes no network requests other than to Apple's own iCloud. There is no North Arc Collective server to send anything to.

No accounts, and nothing shared

This release is single-player. There is nothing to sign up for, no profile, no leaderboard and no way for another person to see your board. A mode for playing with friends is in development; if it ships, this page will be updated before it does, and the change will be noted in the app's release notes.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to disclose.

Deleting your data

Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. To clear what is in iCloud, use Settings, then your Apple Account, then iCloud, and manage the storage for this app. If anything is left behind that you want removed, write to support@northarc.co and we will help.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
